The Ingenious Air Small Duct System is connected to a heating/cooling source. This provides the heating and/or cooling. The type of heating/cooling source will depend on the services you want the system to perform. Renewable energy technologies such as heat pumps have a lower environmental impact than conventional energy technologies. They are sustainable and reduce fuel bills and carbon footprint.
Heating/cooling sources include:
- Air to air heat pumps (refrigerant heat pumps)
- Air to water heat pumps
- Ground source heat pumps
- High efficiency boilers (gas, oil fired, electric, bio-mass etc.)
- Solar panels
- Chilled water systems
- Electric heater
- District heating systems.
The Ingenious Air Small Duct System can be connected to more than one heating source e.g. a heat/cool heat pump plus hot water supply. The modular design allows the system to adapt to future heating/cooling source technology. Additional modules can be developed to integrate new sustainable technologies as they become available.
Projects requiring air purification only may not require a heating/cooling source. Read our Park Lane Case Study for more information.
